When people ask me where I’m from my answer is not, “I’m from Harlem.”

My answer is,

“I AM Harlem”

Bing Cigar - about me.jpg

Between the ages of 15 - 25…

I built my own production studio, rented the studio out to other caps, produced my own music, put myself through music engineering school, founded the 2nd biggest rap group besides Wu-Tang, produced 3 albums worth of music, managed the group, secured a record deal, went on tours across the country, started some minor rap beef, and had a kid at 21!

A born and raised entrepreneur.

My mom always had at least three businesses going on at the same time. Real estate, art, music...more real estate! Me and my brother couldn't help but grow up having multiple hustles, legal and illegal.

I never took a corporate gig without having an exit plan. I knew I was never supposed to stay there long. Just long enough to get what I needed from it. That ranged from experience and a paycheck to contacts and more side hustles.

Meet Miranda.

I realized at a young age that if I wanted to know about the world and how it worked, I needed to leave my hometown.

So I did.

From small town Texas, to Chicago, Las Angeles, New York…

Like most young adults that grew up in rural areas and dreamed of escaping to big cities and traveling the world, Miranda wasn’t any different. Originally she wanted to become a doctor, but after taking a theatre course in college she decided to change her major and transfer from her hometown to Chicago. “In my head medical school would always be there if I ever decided to go back but opportunities to study theatre while I’m young and in one of the best cities for theatre seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime moment, so I did it.”
